Body & Mind Vitality Program

Design of the Body & Mind Vitality program during the study

The Amsterdam UMC study will be conducted from January 6 to June 30, 2025. During these six months, we will use a theme each month to inspire you. You can participate in various sessions and workshops every week, to stimulate your self-healing capacity and to increase your natural resistance. This way, you can work on improving your health and vitality yourself.

With our app you can easily join all livestream sessions and workshops. All these sessions and workshops are also available as video on our app the next day, so you can watch anytime that suits you and you can also watch workshops more often.

Theme workshop video

This month we will specifically focus on the kidneys and bladder, or rather the energy channels of these organs or meridians. These are our rivers of energy, which run through our body and influence all cells and organs.  
The proper flow of energy in our meridians is important for our health. If there is an imbalance, this can cause complaints. During our workshop this month we will focus on this.

Body Vital Yoga

This Yoga session is based on calm and soft movements in the postures. Calm movements create little resistance and ensure that you can release tension. The relaxation and movement during the exercises improve the flexibility of your body. Through yoga, the energy in your meridians and body flows better. Enjoy this yoga session and improve your vitality.

Breathing workshop

Jos Derksen, breathing specialist, teaches you breathing exercises in this workshop that help you bypass your thoughts and get closer to your emotions. Good breathing is important for your physical and mental health. With good breathing, your brain and muscles get enough oxygen. This ensures, for example, that you can move or concentrate on a certain task. You can also reduce your stress complaints with good breathing.

Workshop tasty and healthy food

Sophie Luderer, dietician and nutritionist of the organization PuurGezond, inspires you with explanations about how you can eat deliciously and healthily at the same time. The PuurGezond team has a lot of knowledge about nutrition and lets you experience that healthy and delicious food go very well together. PuurGezond team: “We have a wealth of experience, base our advice on science and we ourselves love delicious food”.

Relaxation meditation

This guided meditation helps you to relax your body and mind and let go of what you want and can let go of. You become aware of your breathing and make contact with your body. Coherent program offers you structure and support

Working on your health has everything to do with awareness and insight, which factors are important for you as a person. There has been a lot of scientific research, in which the positive effect of breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, exercise and nutrition is demonstrated.

However, you do need structure and support to actually improve your health and vitality. And that is what we offer with our Body & Mind Vitality program.
The program is based on the following 4 pillars: 

  • Awareness; important is the awareness of what is going on in your body and mind. Based on this you can make more conscious choices. This is a growth process.
  • Relaxation; positive stress is good for us, however too much stress for a long time can have a negative effect on our health and result in complaints. With yoga, breathing exercises and meditation you can relax nicely. 
  • Inspiration; with our theme workshops, weekly livestream workshops, newsletters and information on our website, we continuously provide you with knowledge and inspiration.
  • Action; you choose from various activities that are fun and relaxing to participate in, so that you can experience for yourself that this has a positive effect on your health & vitality!
